Without You and One Other I Am Nothing Lyrics

Swallow these pearls.
They surround the lives of the walking.
As they burst in your mouth.
Remember to breathe!
They surround the lives of the walking.
The ocean drowns the infant inside.

If you don't want to see the horses maimed by the waves, lift your arms signal the rocks.
Keep your arms up.
The vultures will soon be here to carry us home.
Yesterday is today.
Tomorrow will be our last.
What's left.

Swallow these pearls.
They surround the lives of the walking.
As they burst in your mouth.
Devoured by beak and wing.
We agreed we were not afraid to pass on.
Remember to breathe!

Bubbles of voice whisper they whisper.
I'll be proud of you no matter what.
Damaging ears like fireworks.
Remember to hold your breath.
Lack of oxygen invites colors.
I'll be proud of you no matter what.

What's left?
Blue giant throats that cry your name till they are considered soul.

I love this song! Just can't figure out what "Swallow these pearls. They surround the lives of the walking. As they burst in your mouth." is describing...

@sirfoil I think it means that the pearls are symbolic of the underwater pearls or clams and swallowing. The pearls is symbolic of swallowing in the water. Surrounding the lives of the walking is probably symbolic of birds or vultures, eating dead bodies or the water engulfing someone and now they are dead.

Definitely, the song sounds like a story about somebody drowning. Swallow. The pearls is symbolic about swallowing the water and bubbles of voice is the person screaming under the water. Lack of oxygen. It all makes sense now I don’t really know what blue giant throats means, but I can imagine it has something to do with drowning, maybe it’s symbolic of life or maybe it’s really about somebody drowning, and hearing the last words of a loved one probably their parent saying that they will love them and be proud of them no matter what. I wish there was more commentary on this very underrated song that I came to love in the latter portions of my Poison the Well fandom , now it’s one of my favorite songs
