This is what I'm getting from this song:
"Where does our anchor lie?" - Where do you place your firm beliefs?
And we are being sold by teachers, peers, parents, you name it, this science of, for example, the big-bang theory / evolution or whatever they may believe.
And the leaders today are leading us astray; leaders (not necessarily the exact definition of a leader but friends, teachers, whatever) don't show the other side of the argument and don't present certain facts that go against their 'science'.
"We can fight the current" - We can do somethings on our own. "But we can't climb the waterfall" - We need God to help us in the end.

have to pretty much agree with muffin man, just talking all the propaganda you see all over, and and how were constantly being fed so many different peoples ideals and led to believe things that aren't true. Then when he talks about being lead by a mislead generation is just saying like were getting told this and that, only because its what they were told. Too many people just cant have an independent thought, its like an infection or a domino effect and its been going on for so long. Someone needs to do something about it.

i agree with whats been said but i want to add a few things. "Everything looks the same, its all so watered down" means to me that after a while of trying to find out what you truly believe in that everything might start looking the same than he says " where does our anchor lie?"
"theres no identity in others insecurities" means something like you cant just point out others mistake you have to live by what you believe.

For a Christian band, this seems pretty anti-religion. "Why are we led by a misled generation", "everything true and complete is cut out", etc. Either that or they're radical Christians who've interpreted the Bible as a textbook and regard it as fact despite the earth covering floods, parting of seas and people walking on water.
