Q&A
Welcome To Savannah Lyrics
You asked for it, you paid for it
Get what you deserve
You wanted it, the benefit
How does it feel worse?
You're good as gold, around your neck
Look over your shoulder
Your conscience kills your constant thrills
Shallow makeover
Hide in your eyes
Dancing in the bright lights
Take out the knife
Oh this brush just doesn't feel right
Hiding your eyes
Mirrors tell the worst lies
Cover it up
Hide in your eyes
Dancing in the bright lights
Take out the knife
Oh this brush just doesn't feel right
Hide in your eyes
Mirrors tell the worst lies
Cover it, cover it up
You asked for it, you paid for it
Get what you deserve
You wanted it, the benefit
How does it feel worse?
Split at the end, and lost at the teeth
Foundation is older
Ans still you're paid from the cuts you've made
Shallow makeover
Hide in your eyes
Dancing in the bright lights
Take out the knife
Oh this brush just doesn't feel right
Hide in your eyes
Mirrors tell the worst lies
Cover it up
Hide in your eyes
Dancing in the bright lights
Take out the knife
Oh this brush just doesn't feel right
Hide in your eyes
Mirrors tell the worst lies
Cover it, cover it up
(Cover it, cover it up)
(Cover it, cover it up)
You're good as gold, your conscience kills, split at the ends

Take out the knife
Oh this brush just doesn't feel right
Hide in your eyes

Okay, Breathe Carolina just posted the correct lyrics on their Myspace so I changed everything so it's fully correct now :]
To me, it's about a girl who needs to look perfect all the time to fit in with a certain crowd. She feels pressure from the others to look beautiful all the time, and it's taking a toll on her self-esteem. Even though she's in the clique of people that she's always wanted to be in, she's not happy and she feels bad about herself, probably because her "friends" constantly put her down about her appearence. The way she deals with it is cutting herself. Even though she looks pretty on the outside, it's not really her, it's what the others want her to be, and she's hurting on the inside.
It is rush, not blush, they posted it on their MySpace. Anyway, I think JustAnotherRomantic is pretty much right. I have over 600 plays on this song. I love it.
love it. can't wait for the new album.
pretty sure it is 'this RUSH just doesn't feel right'
Thanks, I changed it :]
Thanks, I changed it :]
this is my new fav song(:
I'd have to agree with JustAnotherRomantic.. its about someone trying to be something they aren't, thinking they'd be happy with their self but really all that make up they're hiding under makes them feel worse, because the pressure to be perfect is just too much.
and I'm probably wrong, but the part "mirrors tell the worst lies" is saying that whoever this song is about sees someone ugly and not good enough while being their self when they look in the mirror, so they think they need to alter them self somehow, but really, they're perfect the way they are.
I'm not completely sure but to me it sounds like he's saying "this BLUSH just dousn't feel right" It also makes more sense with the lyrics in that she feels uncomfortable covering up who she is... But that's just me
i got the CD before it came out. =] i've had it for a couple days now.
Love Breathe Carolina
this is such a great song. :D but i think they messed up the lyrics in the chorus..
