Swimmer's Chant Lyrics
He used the wrong words
Knew what to say
But lost the way
And he forgot to be strong
Aching to shout
It wears me out
I've come to like Sammy
I know this
Don't think about it
There is water inside your heart now
In Tragedy Park
Staging it there
With seats to spare
And now they made the place seem
Achingly clean
Towards the gleem
I've come to like Sammy
I know this (Save me, Sammy!)
Don't break the bottle
There is water inside your heart now (Save me, Sammy!)
I've come to like Sammy
He is my friend (Save me, Sammy!)
Don't think about it
There is water inside your heart now
Forgot to be strong
Aching to shout
It wears me out
Knew what to say
But lost the way
Aching to shout
It wears me out
I know this
Don't think about it
There is water inside your heart now
Staging it there
With seats to spare
Achingly clean
Towards the gleem
I know this (Save me, Sammy!)
Don't break the bottle
There is water inside your heart now (Save me, Sammy!)
I've come to like Sammy
He is my friend (Save me, Sammy!)
Don't think about it
There is water inside your heart now
Aching to shout
It wears me out

I agree with YYYY; I think "I lean over" is actually "I know this".
Wow. I love this song; it's really catchy, especially the part where he sings "there is water inside your heart". That one line gets in my head so easily and I'll be singing it over and over all day. Dx
Those last lines are really sad, and really sum up how I feel a lot of the time. "Forgot to be strong. Aching to shout; it wears me out." Just wanting to scream out things that need to be said, but not having enough courage or confidence to do so is just a horrible feeling. :[. That makes this song mean a lot to me despite not knowing the entire meaning; just certain lyrics stand out which can piece together the feel of the song.
I think it's just about someone who had things to say; but couldn't quite get them out right, or the other person took them the wrong way and now he knows he screwed up. I think it's just a regretful, longing song. Pretty. <3
Such A beautifull song! Mews the best!
Are you sure it's "I lean over"? cuz what I got from it was completely different."I know this" maybe? I'm not sure if I'm hearing a different version or what cuz everything else sounds right.
Dont you think that Silas drums sounds amazing!? Dunno, reminds me to Louise Louisa, so passionated!! Is this related with Johan too? cuz hearing it seems like he (jonas, bo or silas) are wating Johan's apologies? In this part for example: He used the wrong words Knew what to say But lost the way And he forgot to be strong Aching to shout it wears me out We dont really know what was the real way did Johan use to say he was leaving the band, yeh, we all know it was a "good leaving" and they're still be friends and stuff, but imagine how Jonas and the other mew's felt when Johan said "im leaving!" and then start a new band...didnt he said he wanted to be a good dad and be with his baby? "he forgot to be strong" he forgot what he said... and leave the band with other propose
And here, Jonas is saying that it doesnt matter...even if he waits Johan apologies he still see him as a friend and he knows how much Johan regrets his choice, but then Jonas saying that theres no problem, they are fine... I've come to like sandy He is my friend (say you're sorry)-------> I think here he's talking with himself Don't think about it There is water inside your heart, no
