Bury Me Alive Lyrics
There's no use in crying
All my tears won't drown my pain
Free me from your sorrow
I can't grieve you again
I watched you let yourself die
And now it's too late to save you
This time
You bury me alive
And everybody's gotta breathe somehow
Don't leave me to die
You're too consumed by your own emptiness and lies
All I did was love you
Now I hate the nightmare you've become
I can't let you fool me
I won't need you again
I watched you let yourself die
And now it's too late to save you
This time
You bury me alive
And everybody's gotta breathe somehow
Don't leave me to die
You're too consumed by your own emptiness and lies
You bury me alive
And everybody's gotta breathe somehow
Don't leave me to die
You're too consumed by your own emptiness and lies
I can't feel this love we used to hold
All I see is black and cold
As I try to pull you to the ground
To the ground
Everybody's gotta breathe somehow
Don't leave me to die
You're too consumed by all your emptiness
You bury me alive
And everybody's gotta breathe somehow
Don't leave me to die
You're too consumed by your own emptiness and lies
You bury me alive
And everybody's gotta breathe somehow
Don't leave me to die
You're too consumed by your own emptiness and lies
All my tears won't drown my pain
Free me from your sorrow
I can't grieve you again
And now it's too late to save you
This time
And everybody's gotta breathe somehow
Don't leave me to die
You're too consumed by your own emptiness and lies
Now I hate the nightmare you've become
I can't let you fool me
I won't need you again
And now it's too late to save you

hopefully people can stop comparing them to Evanescence. this band is different from their previous band. great work for WATF.
I think the lyrics are based on some relationship, where the woman fake suicide, due to probably a bad relationship. But even her husband knew it somehow, his response to it like: Good for you (There's no use in crying All my tears won't drown my pain Free me from your sorrow I can't grieve you again I watched you let yourself die And now it's too late to save you This time). And the woman's plot seems to backfire when she realises that she will end up stuck in a grave buried alive.
I find it amusing that when Ben&Co rose to fame, it was with the song Bring Me to Life. Now, trying to renew the sound they began with, they use the song Bury Me Alive. Sort of makes a statement.
This song was written by carly (the vocalist) even before she met ben moody and the rest of the gang. So it obviously has nothing to do with bring me to life.

Using dark imagery about a burial, which is also used in its music video, Carly Smithson sings about a romantic partner who starts becoming a bad influence on her, and dragging her down. Despite all this, she tries to help her lover by calling him out on his actions, while still trying to get out of the situation without getting hurt again.
8th stanza is supposed to be,
Do you feel this love we used to hold? All I see is black and cold As I try to pull you down To the ground, the ground
also, in every single chorus, she only says "Dont't leave me die", not "to die" and she only says "too consumed by your own emptiness and lies" leave out the "You're" except for in the 9th stanza.
The video gives clues of the writer's thoughts. The girl in white being buried is the same person playing a dominant role in burying herself alive. This is the "good girl" being buried by her alter ego who has let her ignorance and the lies she has believed bury her good self. The two "sides" once loved each other but the darker side became dominant. The girl in white fought back, not wanting the dark side to win and be loosed. During the fight they both fell into the grave meant for the good girl. The last few seconds show the girl in black unconscious or dead and the girl in white waking up. It's a beautiful but sad story.
not band 4 a 1st effort i expected 2 hate them but its not tasting all that bad.
