As for the meaning, I think the song is about the singer, Jordan, crushing on a girl but being to afraid to talk to her. Ok, I'll try to decipher this piece by piece:

Look at the song title: "Stays four the same" the four is there for a reason, I know this because when he first released it the use of the numerical term bothered me and I told him. I was then informed that it has meaning. So I think it's about his girlfriend, Katelyn, who he has been with for several years and at the time this was written I think it had actually been 4 years.
