Yeah I'm pretty sure it's about a dildo. Hence "rubber man". And she talks about how he's everything and with "him" she's a "different girl". Something she'd never say about a real man because she wouldn't trust him. If that makes sense. :/

i think this song is about how some people think that gays can just learn to love the "opposite" sex. They expect a gay woman to just readjust her heart and fall in love with any man. It doesn't matter who the man is, he could be made of rubber! She says things like "he's so unreal! he's a mannequin!" because he's not really a person just an idea of "straightness". She's sweetly violent towards him cause she doesn't actually love him. I've never wanted to run someone over with a spaceship who I actually wanted to be with..
