Lose My Life Lyrics
Backwards and forwards
Seems always under covers
They lined us all
Pressed against the wall
There's nothing that you should fear
I'm the pilot behind the wheel
Don't fret they're coming
They're lining up to join me
To save us all
Which ones will fall
They don't even care we're here
How do you save someone without fear
The voices screaming
Stop!
Look what we've started
The heroes falling
Could you say that you would give your life to me
The sky is burning
The fear consuming
I'll live forever if I lose my life tonight
Tensions are boiling
To the point of overflowing
The stage is set
Curtains drenched in red
We sent off our only sons
We're killing them one by one
Best friends and lovers
Turned against one another
Their faces change
Only shame remains
Out here we stand alone
Operation "Come Back Home"
The voices screaming
Stop!
Look what we've started
The heroes falling
Could you say that you would give your life to me
The sky is burning
The fear consuming
I'll live forever if I lose my life tonight
I'll live forever if I lose my life tonight
The voices screaming
Stop!
Look what we've started
The heroes falling
Could you say that you would give your life to me
The sky is burning

This is a really good song from a new artist with potential can't believe I'm first to post..... BUt LOVE the song. hav no idea about the meaning someone enlighten me
I believe the correct lyrics for: "Could you save em You would give your life to me" are actually: "Could you say that You would give your life tonight"
As far as a meaning, I think it definitely has to do with war and how our government just keeps sending more soldiers into battle. Our men (and women) not sure if they could be the next to be killed, but if they do, that it wasn't in vain and it would be for a good cause in their eyes.
"Look what we started, The heroes falling," I believe this is a commentary about war. We start them and then we send in our strong and brave, where they die. They should be here with us where we need the strong and brave, not out dying for us.
This song is incredible. It took me quite a few listens to really start picking up on the lyrics, but it's definitely about the war and obviously. I just don't understand what "I'll live forever if I lose my life tonight" means? I'm thinking it could mean as in he'll live forever as in be a hero even when he's gone? Regardless, powerful song.
"I'll live forever if I lose my life tonight" is in regards to the military's training. You learn to fight, and that means your fear is stripped. If you're afraid to die- then you can't fight with everything you've got. If you've already accepted death, there could be a chance of winning the fight. What we fear is death- in combat- you're already dead. "I'll live forever if I lose myself tonight".

I hear, "The voices screaming Stop!" and I agree with "Could you say that you would give your life tonight." Definatly makes me think of war, as an Army Medic that doesn't pick up on lyrics, not being able to sleep because two of my good friends got hit hard recently and I was trying to get it off my mind and this song instantly came to mind. We are dying, support your soldiers, dying to protect your freedom because it's our job. "They don't even care we're here."
Number one, these lyrics are severally mistyped. >.<
I have to agree with everyone else though. It's about war. From the POV of the soldiers, maybe? Like this line: "I'll live forever if I lose my life tonight" It most likely means that like most people who die heroically in battle or they do something really amazing and influential, their name lives on forever. It's really sad, but terribly true. Or "Their faces change, only shame remains" means that the war changes them and that they are ashamed of killing so many people even if it is the defense that they were bad people. They took human lives, good or bad.
