Unisex Lyrics

Do me right, by you
And I'll do you right, by heaven
Along the avenues
We run, run, run, run, run, run for our lives

Promise me that we will make it through
Promise me that we will make it through

Inside we are Picasso blue
Outisde it's armageddon
So all that we can do
Is run, run, run, run, run, run for our lives

Promise me that we will make it through
Promise me that we will make it through
If we don't, I don't know what I'd do
So promise me that we will make it through

Don't worry baby, it's just the end of the world
Don't worry baby, don't worry...

Do me right, by you
No matter what may happen
Forever more and hither hereunto
We run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run...

Don't worry baby, it's just the end of the world
Don't worry baby, this place is broken and absurd

Don't worry baby, it's just the end of the world
Don't worry baby, don't worry...

Do me right, by you
And I'll do you right, by heaven

Hey! This song is nice!

I think it's "broken and obscure", not "absurd"...

i do hear 'absurd'... hmmm...

anyway, i think it's VERY different but i still like it.

I am sure it is obscure...

Well, absurd means: utterly or obviously senseless, illogical, or untrue; contrary to all reason or common sense; laughably foolish or false: an absurd explanation. Obscure means:not bright or lustrous; dull or darkish, as color or appearance (although it has many definitions)... "Obscure" does make more sense, doesn't it?

You can listen to "Broken Promise", how Brian pronnounces absurd, and then how he pronnounces obscure/absurd in "Unisex"...

It makes sense, huh?

okay, i have listened to broken promise and unisex and i think both are 'absurd'. he just sings it differently, that's why it appears to be different. maybe we get a third opinion. :)

'this place is broken and absurd' can mean anything, so why should it be false?

here's the third opinio-it is definitely obscure, not absurd

what CD are these bonus tracks on !??

"Unisex" and "The Movie On Your Eyelids" are included as bonus tracks in the box set edition of the album (which you can buy from the official site of Placebo)

mann! damn not being able to afford it!

I don't know, I think Brian's lyrical abilities are slipping.

Yeaaah I thought that :( but then I listened to The Movie On Your Eyelids and that proves that his beautiful skills are still there <3 I just think Placebo were looking for a more optimistic feel to the album... and it's not that bad in all fairness... but I know what you mean. xoxox

I agree with durdenisms, Brians lyrical abilities ARE slipping, (breaks my heart), BUT this song just makes me want to "run, run, run, run, run, run". It makes me happy and if I'm alive when it IS the end of the world I'll play this song as I do exactly that and 'run, run, run, run, run, run for our lives"

Supposedly inspired by the film Cloverfield. Think I know what it's about (Never seen it), and it seems to make sense.
