Grammatizator Lyrics
We celebrate the downfall
with ticker tape parades
Oblivious to the fucking mess left lying in the wake
"God grant me the strength to let my children starve"
He whispered to the dripping roof
into the candled dark
Contemplate contracts of gold
Just wave your hand and relinquish control
Nine lives await to unfold
We bury ten thousands stories untold
Flirt with insurrection batting eyes from afar
In skybox seats or hotel suites, six figure fucking cars
Contemplate contracts of golf
Just wave your hand and relinquish control
Nine lives await to unfold
Bury the stories
Control the heart
Control the mind
Control the hands
To build what they've designed
Lifetimes of silence and apathy
Ensure the prompt demise of our humanity
Contemplate contracts of gold
Nine lives await to unfold
We bury ten thousand stories
The stories untold
with ticker tape parades
Oblivious to the fucking mess left lying in the wake
"God grant me the strength to let my children starve"
He whispered to the dripping roof
into the candled dark
Just wave your hand and relinquish control
Nine lives await to unfold
We bury ten thousands stories untold
Flirt with insurrection batting eyes from afar
In skybox seats or hotel suites, six figure fucking cars
Just wave your hand and relinquish control
Nine lives await to unfold
Bury the stories
Control the mind
Control the hands
Lifetimes of silence and apathy
Ensure the prompt demise of our humanity
Nine lives await to unfold
We bury ten thousand stories
The stories untold

The song is based on a short story called "The Great Automatic Grammatizator," by Roald Dahl. The story is about a guy who builds a machine that writes perfect stories, putting authors out of work. This song actually has a bunch of lines from the short story in it, example being "God grant me the strength to let my children starve."
If thats true i think the song is about how no one is doing anything original or creative anymore. The ones that are are being ignored "God grant me the strength to let my children starve" Since he refuses to follow what everyone else is doing he is being ignored and he isn't making money. It's like movies now a days, they're all remakes or the same formula being repeated. Every one is "contemplating contracts of gold". They'd rather have the money that be creative.

Amazing song with a very strong political message :)
I can't seem to figure out the meaning of this one. It does seem pretty political though.

I think this talks about how we celebrate Bush no longer being president of the US, but we don't realize that Obama isn't going to magically solve all our problems and we don't see the real issues going on.

This is a parent (probably, could be anyone really) who realizes how bad the situation in America is and is praying in his beat up house.
Contemplate contracts of gold Just wave your hand and relinquish control
This sounds like selling out and giving up control of your life. Not sure how this fits in with the rest of the song, but yeah. Like I said before, I'm not entirely sure what this song is about, so that's kind of all I got so far.
