Aiden are amazing...i would have to guess this song is about being in a asylum, lonely, put on medicines and getting judged and told by the outside people that you're "insane" or "sick in the head". maybe that is the anger of the line "fuck you and all of your friends" ? Does anyone else have any takes on the meaning? maybe it's just expression...that aside, this is one hell of an amazing fuckin album.
It sounds to me like he is saying he has been placed in an asylum, against his will, and he just honestly doesn't believe he's insane. He's trapped, all alone and losing his mind. Obviously he see's everything he's enduring as torture but believes he's brought it on himself (I pay the price for eating rats) i didn't look into the song too much, so i took a straightforward approach, but it would be awesome if anybody sees something i dont! The bassline in this song is fuckin crazy! I love it!!
I fuckin love this album!I was so happy to hear that they came back to the sound i love them for: Emo and Full of Angst! Conviction was all shit, and i'd almost given up on Aiden feeling that they had sold out entirely. But wow, they came back alright.
