Kissing Cousins Lyrics

We have never lived, we have never even tried
Come on now give that burden to me
We have never lived, we're just creeping all our days
And you could feast an age, feast and still feel famine all the same
When this food's an orgasm dripping context down my drains

We've had our chances
We didn't see them through

It never ends, carry on the sin
It never ends, it never ends
We can never rest
It's like kissing cousins, it's like breaking bread

Born of detriment
Born of all the ills that lead us in

It gets me so frustrated
Everyone's an expert, I'm so sick of it
It makes me want to gouge a thousand eyes
Choke five hundred throats
Feed them to the fishes swimming in my moat

While I sit in my castle, perched all alone
Disconnected on a sullen throne

They're not stopping
It never ends so forever they roam

it sounds to me like "It never ends, carry on the sin It never ends, it never ends we can never rest It's like kissing cousins, it's like breaking bread

sing it for the detriment come on sing it for the loneliness that lead us in"

yeah i think i can hear 'sing it for the detriment' etc. as well.

I love that part :D

I actually think this song has no sexual connotations. I think it's about the struggle for peace, probably in the holy land (Israel) but mostly just peace and war in general.

I'm pretty sure just before the end of the song, the last time he says "Sing it for all the ills that lead us in" That in the background, in falsetto, he sings "For nativity"

Not sure, but that's what it sounds like to me.

Which leads me to believe this whole song is about humanity, how we cycle and sin and accomplish nothing in the ways of true happiness, we just "Creep all our days". We want whatever we can't have, thus we can "Feast and still feel famine all the same." and we just continue having children and breeding our sinful legacy, "It never ends, we can never rest" Every thinks they're the greatest at everything and better than everyone else, and it's infuriating, thus "Oh it gets me so frustrated, everyone's an expert, I'm so sick of it. It makes me want to gouge a thousand eyes, choke five hundred throats" He's scornful of society and wishes no part of it, thus he sits in his "Castle, disconnected on a sullen throne."

oh, it gets me so horribly frustrated. people always think they know exactly what you're talking about or referring to. everyone's an expert on me but me...according to everybody else.

It gets me so frustrated Everyone's an 'expedite', I'm so sick of it

Everything else looks good.

Nevermind, expedite can't be used as a noun.

so what is the kissing cousins a metaphor to

taking a chance?

Unless this guy is French, I think he is actually saying "badonk" instead of burden.
The lyrics are darn good and sexual, but I don't have a coherent story from this. For the most part it seems to be about sexual desire.
