"Cursum Perficio",It was inscribed on the portico of Marilyn Monroe's last home. Cursum perficio. I am making an end to my course. Verbum sapienti: A word to the wise: quo plus habent, the more [people] have eo plus cupiunt. the more they want. Post nubila, Phoebus After the clouds, Phoebus (1) Iternum Over and over again (2)
I think what impacted Enya the most about the Latin inscription on the home was its sad irony. (translated as "The journey ends here") Whoever put those words there meant them to say, "Your search is over. You've found the perfect home." Instead, events put a completely different meaning to it: "This is the home you will die in." That seems to be the reason for the sense of dread and foreboding, capturing her last days and her death in the first and last halves of the song.

A beauful song love it The end of the course
When I first heard Enya sing Cursum Perficio I believed these words to mean Perfect Curse. It has pagan and Gothic undertones. I get this strange image of a mechanical shark like in "Jaws"moving in some medieval giant cathedral. What a concept!
