I think this is about his days at the end of his time, and even possibly after his time with TBS. He was lost, because he always had TBS. He was depressed, but also sick of the depressing songs Lazarra wrote... "Where I spoke with a tongue that wasn't mine to faces I couldn't recognize." He was singing songs he didn't agree with or want to sing in TBS.
...So he started Straylight Run. And here he is.

i think the song is about Johns thoughts leaving tbs and i believe John is singing to us the fans saying he is trying to forget tbs but everyone reminds him by posting shit on his blogs or myspace or whatever saying how they remember him from tbs. and i think its in response to how much criticism they got for the last album.
another thing if he does a solo album it will be pretty good maybe him and jesse will tour together
i think it's cool that adam is trying to make things better with john. maybe next he'll try to re-befriend jesse from brand new and then the world will make sense again.
