i agree with digital monkey. i get that same kind of feeling with this song. it reminds me of the time i spent after high school was over with my friends, knowing that everything was gonna be different after that night. this is easily my favorite straylight song. i cant help but just love that piano.

I think the song is about waking up & realizing that you control your own future. It's a point in your life where you have to let go of things past, be grateful for the present good, and look forward to your future without any fear. Sing like you think no one's listening.

i absolutly love this song. it has so much meaning in it. SLR are possinly the most powerful songwriters i have ever heard, i have laughed, cried and fucked to this song. pure genius!
when i hear this song, it just makes me want to go and live my life and not care what anyone else has to say about it. it's feels very...liberating? i can't really explain it.
This has been my favorite song for several years. and no one really looks at this one because it's so old but i believe wholly that this song is about a man who wakes up and realizes that he is completely in love with this girl in his bed and he doesn't care how bad at some things she might be he loves her regardless. and he realizes that he has something that nobody else has but always wants. and they have an entire life ahead of them to spend in love because each other is all that they need
This song conjures such a powerful image in my head, which is rare for me when it comes to songs. Everytime I hear this I can vividly imagine a young couple, standing alone in a room simply staring at eachother. As the first glimpses of the orange rays of the sunrise begin to peek slightly over the horizon, the two beautiful teenagers simply stand, unmoving, just taking in eachother. That is what this song means to me.
I think more generally- it is about your own actions influencing relationships and how love is so delicate, and even the most minute or unintentional mishaps can cause it's ultimate demise.
