Capo Lyrics

Evil
Evil wears a suit on the screen
With a hotline
You call to buy your blessing
In the holy name
Came a profit
Putting his hands in the pockets
Of all the thoughtless and naïve

I've got nothing to say to you
I've got nothing to say to you
I've got nothing to say to you
I've got nothing to say
I've got nothing to say to you
I've got nothing, nothing to lose
I've got nothing to say to you
I've got nothing to say

I've got nothing to say to you
I've got nothing, nothing new
I've got nothing to say to you
At my throat i fork in two
I've got nothing to say to you
I've got nothing to say to you
I've got nothing to say to you
I've got nothing too (you)

I watched my rotating feet
Hover above brownish red streets
The love I carried made me
So unique
But something moving in my chest
It was dirty once
But at its best
The love that kept us young
Oh, it's old under our sun

Cover art for Capo lyrics by As Cities Burn

it's talking about this people on t.v. that try to sell 'holy water,' blessings, etc. and then it talks about how they have nothing to say to them because they don't want to judge and how the love they have (from Christ) made them feel so good/clean/happy and the last two lines state how everyone can "get" the love by "buying" it. that's my view on it.

"Prophet" not "profit" in the first verse otherwise good job on the lyrics

i have the lyric booklet and it is "profit"

i stand corrected, thought it made more sense. still haven't received my pre-order yet

I might be crazy, but I hear the lead singer of Jonezetta's voice in this song.

Because it is :)

Yes, that is the singer from Jonezetta in the "chorus". The guy at the end is Micah Boyce from So Long Forgotten, great band.
