This song appears to be about some kind of a possessive demon or monster who is both hoping as well as fantasizing (or "dreaming") about the person (presumably a nurturing mother/woman) who will eventually find them and, for whatever reason, will decide to take them home, allowing the demon to move forward with its plans to possess them, destroying their life and associations.
