Angus said? in an interview that Julia gave him poisonous red berries that made him hallucinate when they were younger. I'm assuming the song is about that.
I think its about loosing yourself in drugs that transport your mind to a magical land when you want to escape the struggles of the real word. and while although this can be a pleasant and fun relief, it is dangerous (on the devils shoulder i leaned)
