General CommentI believe it's more to do with meeting someone for the first time - But not as in an introductory sense - More like when your going about your every day routine and someone truly catches your attention and the world around you seems to stop for a brief moment but you realise your obvious and try to pretend to be normal and in-turn miss an opportunity to find out if the attraction is real - It's when that person can bend your mind for days - When the slightest of sensations such as the smell of a perfume can be distinctively be embedded in your mind for weeks.

As expressed in the opening line:

It also seems to create the feeling that this infatuation is towards someone quite lower in social class or society than the... The rest of the song in my eyes continues to play that tune and goes on to wishing the mind could catch up to you quicker in those situations and act on them, but instead life leaves you wondering how it could have played out.

General Commenti better not think about dicks and sex when i listen to this song now. sure, that could be one interpretation of it, but it seems to me that it means more than that.

"gonna take ya away from harm." some guy who banged a girl he just met probably wouldn't think such a sentimental thought.
"i wanna hold her, i wanna kiss her." this line could extend to sex, but on the surface it doesn't. he just wants to be with her.

unfortunately, it looks like pretty much everything else in the song can go either towards sex or whatever a more sweeter meaning to the song is. i'll be pissed if all i think about this song now when i listen to it has to do with sex.

My InterpretationI feel like the line
"hello mister,
pleased to meet ya"
I want to hold her,
I want to kiss her."
Is him speaking to her father in the sense of asking if he can ask her to marry her.

Then the line;
"Be my lover,
My lady river
But can i take ya,
Take ya higher."
Is him asking her then the rest is him telling her how he's going to take her to bigger and better places and that he's going to do for her.
BUT that's just what come into my mind when I listen to it.

General CommentAfter a deep analysis, I have come to the conclusion that this piece of fine art is a direct product of Mr Angus Stone's BBC and his SEXUAL encounters.
