Anne Louise Lyrics
This leathers called a seat belt Anne Louise
Your head out of the window in the cooling summer breeze
And in the air were all the things you claimed we need
They seemed to be worth less than once I did believe
And I swear to god that I'll avenge your death
With the best lawyers of auto-politics
And I'll spend whatever money's to be spent
To try and revive your broken body again
And the penny-pitching funeral was shit
Your body in a plastic frame that I threw flowers in
And I hope to god that you'll remember me in heaven
God I hope you don't remember that in heaven
God I hope that they'll allow me into heaven
Look what I've become
Look what I've become

I'm hearing
i swear to god that i'll avenge your death. and the penny pinching funeral was shit.
it's definitely penny pension
it's definitely penny pension
I like the RAGC feel to this. It's nice to listen to after all the loudness&intensity on METN.
this song seems to be a continuation of "i can feel a hot one". girl dies, guy lives.....
my interpretation
car wreck, the girl dies "i'll avenge your death with the best lawyers" - he's responsible for her death "And I'll spend whatever money's to be spend to try and revive your broken body again" - he feels terrible and guilty even now
"And I hope to god that you'll remember me in heaven God I hope you don't remember that in heaven God I hope that they'll allow me into heaven Look what I've become" - he wants her to remember him in heaven, but to forget that he, well, murdered her. he hopes god will still let him in, even though he's guilty. look what i've become, a murderer.
sad, sad song my only question is did this really happen?
"he...murdered her" I think that's a bit of an overstatement. I think it is about a car accident in which he was driving but she died.
It's just guilt and sadness, feeling that he is responsible and trying to deal with it.
this definitely sounds connected to i can feel a hot one... he was driving the car and they got in an accident and his wife/girlfriend died, probably with their unborn child too "and the lord showed me dreams of my daughter, she was crying inside your stomach"
did this really happen??
This song is about his dog!!
