I'm pretty sure of this change in the lyrics:

should be:

So your heart's blown open Pulsating in your ear Feelings insincere

I think in this song he's addressing someone who isn't true to themselves and others, telling them to try and be more honest and trustworthy before they wind up totally miserable. I think the title suggests a theme of starting fresh, making this a good opening song.

A couple corrections to these lyrics, "let the banshees tear it all apart" should be "let the branches tear it all apart" "you'll let the record" should be "you'll let the echo" "lay your head down at your feet" should be "lay your head down, rest your feet"

This is quite clearly a breakup song. Now that he's leaving her, he's saying it's time for everything to be brought out into the open. He's not holding back and telling her everything he always wanted/needed to say. It's a bit harsh ("Who would know/all the reasons you're a bore") so obviously the relationship was a rocky one.

I think this song is Brian Aubert's way of saying that this entire album, about relationships and love, is aimed at a particular failed relationship of his.

It's definitely "Wouldn't the branches tear it all apart."

and "consider with your ear" is definitely "Pulsating in your ear"

I'm not sure about the context he is saying any of this in, but I'll definitely argue it isn't a one night stand. It obviously has more depth to it that we could just pick up on. Swoon is obviously a metaphor for a phase in her life (or rather web of lies) that he has become aware of, and not a literal moment, based on remorse in his voice. Nobody gets remorseful over literal swooning.

Assuming by the condescending tone, he is angry and confused by her lies, and the supposed truths he's found out are actually from an outside standpoint and therefor not very comprehensive. His stuff is usually confident, although I didn't listen to Pikul, but beneath the surface this seems like a denial of how hurt he is.

I think generally speaking this song is brian aubert and the rest of SSP's way of saying, this album is not secret anymore because of the last line: "before you fall into your Swoon". It's been long awaited and this song is definately interesting.

being honest to the point where her heart is totally open then he leaves when she is asleep. Ive never scammed anyone like that but I have definitely escaped after feeling shitty about a one night stand before the girl woke up.
