The song is about a virgin girl who has sex with a guy who only wanted her for that. They fall in love, but the guy ends up having sex with other women anyways. It's about how she deals with the internal pain of loving that guy and losing her innocence, and how her internal battles caused her to lose her halo.
I'm pretty sure I got the lyrics right. She kind of mumbles in some bits so it's a little hard to tell, but I got it as close as I could!

For some reason Halestorm lyrics (all of them) seem vapire made. And to me, this song is about love between a vampire and a human.
This song is showing us that the writer is "not an angel". This song starts with how Lzzy warned her loved one that she is not and angel, how she should have told them to leave. But, they were too irresistible because of the begging and kneeling. The chorus tells us that she wants revenge and the loved one to suffer.
The overall meaning of this song is that she was in a relationship with someone who wasn't able to manage her behavior, personality, or anything along those lines. The meaning of the chorus is simple "I can't help myself from hurting you and it's hurting me" "Flying with me won't be easy" She wants the relationship to prosper, but she knows that it won't, and even though she's hurting him and that affects her, she still tries to make it work.
I've always thought it sounded like having anxiety or depression when entering a relationship. It won't be easy because they're constantly anxious and need reassurance. "But that disappeared when I had my first taste" first time being betrayed? Alternatively not being innocent in a non sexual way, used to be kind and caring but was pushed too many times and now is more likely to rebel.
To me, it's about a woman that has a hard time being faithful and staying out of trouble but her significant other stays with her anyways.
