Bits & Pieces Lyrics
Every bit has its time
Too many pieces to keep over
With every shape and design that won't fit in
That's the best of your peers?
If you can make it through the summer
Forget the paint on the walls that dizzy you
There's barely the room
I see it better when the lights are on
I see it better when the lights are on
Just give a second and I'll figure it out (yes I will)
Because practice is over
Click-stop...
So we know how to keep this thing on moving now
We were jammed, cursed so it wouldn't begin
Find a space on the floor
Tape down the edges of your waist coat
Remember the words, the lighting cues
It's all up to you
I see it better when the lights are on
I see it better when the lights are on
Just give a moment and I'll figure it out (yeah I will)
Because practice is over
I see it - I see it better when the lights are on
I see it - I see better when the lights are on
I see it - Just give me second and I'll figure it out (yes I will)
Because practice is over
Too many pieces to keep over
With every shape and design that won't fit in
If you can make it through the summer
Forget the paint on the walls that dizzy you
There's barely the room
I see it better when the lights are on
Just give a second and I'll figure it out (yes I will)

Find a space on the floor

Such a great dance song. It sounds to me like he might be saying "I see you better when the lights are out."
wow... it's obviously "I see you better when the lights are out," an allusion to the feeling of physical fluidity during sex even though you can't see anything. Why would you think it's "on" - doesn't that seem a little to obvious to be lyrical? It would be like saying "I see you better when my eyes are open." Duh.
