I love this song Its beautiful. Several songs This one included have quiet literally moved me to tears. Thats the magic of hurt unlike most bands these days they have the ability to invoke anger, sadness, happiness etc.

J. Loren is an amazing vocalist.

yes, beatiful song. sounds like someone dreaming of someone they once loved, then waking to reality.

pure, unfiltered emotion, and the places it takes you. How could you ever explain such a thing?

I feel like this song is about an old man watching his wife pass away in front of him and he's completely overwhelmed by grief and is almost trying to convince himself that she's still around, but is coming to terms with it and taking solace in his belief that they'll meet in heaven. It's really eery because it implies he might even be looking forward to the end.

Heaven is the "place where people dance while holding hands". "When your wind went away" is obviously when she died. "and i know that its always around" - talking about her love for him. "Who am I to stay in this world that I made?" - death is starting to become a welcome figure. And I believe that they're older because he says "while you think that they're all still alive" implying that there are more people involved in this passing.

I don't know if this song is necessarily about heaven, but the verses definitely describe an imaginary world where his dead loved ones are still alive, and the person he loves, loves him back. He only wakes up out of this daydream when he realizes it's not real by the "taste of the tears", and how he can't explain how this wonderful person could have loved him. This is the "moment" of realization, it "won't let you down" because you always have to come back to reality at some point, no matter how sad it is.

If this song doesn't give you the chills I question your status as a human being.

Basic song meaning: Even tho you've lost someone that meant a lot to you, they are still there 'know that it's always around' All you have to do is take a minute to stop and remember everything about them, and for a brief moment you are with them again until 'Till the taste of the tears will remind' and you come back to reality. But even if the the pain is great and maybe hard to deal with the thoughts and love you feel for them are still beautiful. 'Oh please don't lose something so beautiful; It's very lovely' So in short, remember and look back on the ones you lost and smile and know that they are with you always.

As it relates to the story: I think this song is in reference to House Carpenter. Like he has made peace that she is no longer physically with him, But will always be in his heart and in everything he does. And as anyone who follows the story knows..in his music.

At the end of House carpenter she says "I love you so much" I believe this is somewhat explaining the meaning to that. The fact that the i love you is in a females voice instead of his own or a males voice.

J. Loren did explain the meaning of the song in the Footnotes on the Besides CD 2, he explains how it is about the inevitable, something you know is there but you just can't explain what it is.
