Climbing Up The Walls Lyrics

I keep seeing your face
When my eyes are closed
I'm remembering how
It used to go
Overmedicated
Nearly comatose
Or going out of your head
You're still on that road

So what's in your mind
When you kill more than time
You're sinking so low
Thinking you will be high
Biting your lip
While you're losing
Your mind alone
God knows

You're climbing up
The walls
You’re just climbing up
The walls

Now you're reaching
That age
Where you should know
How to figure it out
All on your own
On the far side of town
Is a room you love
I started tearing it down
Thinking you would follow

The road won't rise and ease your crying
If you do nothing
If you do nothing
The world won't try
To change your mind
If you don't change at all

Heard this song for the first time today. The track is used on an Esquire video with Megan Fox. Hot video and great song. It's very catchy.

Haha - I heard of the song the exact same way. The video really turned me on to this song...very catchy.

there are quite a few good songs on scream, i shunned it until i saw him play some live and gave it another listen. i think this one is about his battle for sobriety, looking back on old times and where he is today.

The segue from Climbing up the Walls into Wake Up, which lyrics are included at the end here, actually aren't correct. Neither are the song credits.

Chris was just messing around in the studio, and Jerome Harmon (JROC), one of the song writers (and Timbaland's production partners) had fallen asleep. His little snooze resulted in the little dittie.

Jerome is fast asleep He's so tired, makes me weep He stays up all night, workin' on songs
But then I guess we all do the same thing... He still asleep?

The only okay song off Cornell's latest album... the rest of the songs were just terrible. Still, the song would sound better with real guitars and drums.
