Amazing song. I think it's about a good friend of J. Loren who was paralyzed. Also when Shaun sings it's about the same guy who's gambling his money away after his wife left him, not knowing yet what will soon happen to him.

I think this song is about yourself. you try to be a good person. A good man's paralyzed the more you try and see things go wrong the less you feel yet your faith in trying to do what is right...He's everything to me... stands for it is everything in me. we all take our chances and now matter how many chances we take its the ones we loose that stand out the most.... those are the ones we remember and when everything blows up from the one bet we shouldnt have bet. we feel alone beg for a second chance we feel like it altered our life so dramaticly a second chance so i would feel what i loss before i lost it. i know now that i loved you i made my mistakes first love is the only love show me the meaning of love because theres no going back to love once is to never love again so after you have lost your first whats the point you will never feel what you did the first time . i will tell you i love you but its not what it was the first time so it doesent affect me much

yes, he sings the second verse and choruses. In the acoustic version I don't think he sings in it, but on the album version he does.

Yes, I have a copy of the CD. That's how I've been updating lyrics as I do it by ear. It is deffinitely Shaun Morgan, and deffinitely under that format.

This song is about J's father. There is a great half hour interview with J and Paul on wjjo.com under podcasts in which they do the acoustic version of this song and discuss the meaning(very rare that they do this). Excellent insight into the mind of J Loren. All hurt fans need to check it out. Keep it up Hurt you guys are simply amazing.
