I can't believe nobody has commented on this absolutely beautiful song. I'm not usually a big Macy Gray fan but after hearing this song in the film 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' I immediately downloaded it. This song breaks my heart; it's honest and raw and completely real. My boyfriend and I have to live on opposite sides of the country due to work, and haven't seen each other for almost 5 months, and this song completely narrates our relationship. It's basically saying that special person is constantly in your thoughts, every little thing reminds you of them, and in a way you only hope they think of you as much. The verse about getting older really strikes home, to me it's a promise that one day circumstance won't get in the way anymore and we'll be together, happy, and see each other every day. I don't mind if all this isn't even the real message of the song, to me it's about distance and how if love is strong enough, whether you are together or a past relationship, you won't forget about each other.
