Hazelton Lyrics

settle up you're calling up the pain
sitting dead the sinker and the string
you came, you saw, you sawed her brain
cut out all the parts that held your stain

sitting clad you're feeling wild to blame
she's crying as you're climbing down your claim
sitting up you're counting up your names
seen enough to bend him off the frame

you came you saw you sawed her brain
cut out all the parts that held your stain

you clipped you clawed to no applause
you lost the will to ___ the lying off

so try to be somebody
so try to feel somebody
so try to leave somebody
so hard to be somebody

(where can you run) x 8

so try to be somebody
so try to feel somebody
so try to leave somebody
so try to be somebody

I'm not gonna say I'm right, but I'm fairly positive the lyrics are wrong. The rhyme scheme helped me pick out these lyrics instead:

settle up you're calling up the pain still in doubt you single out the strain you came you saw you sawed her brain you cut out all the part that held your stain

still inclined you're billing wide the blame she's crying now you're climbing down your claim sitting up you counted up your names seen enough to bend him off the frame

you came you saw you sawed her brain you cut out all the parts that held your stain

you clipped your claw to no applause you lost the will and bought the lying gauze

so try to be somebody so try to flee somebody so try to leave somebody so hard to be somebody

(you wreck and then you run)

so try to be somebody so try to flee somebody so try to leave somebody so hard to be somebody

What a song!

I reckon the song may be about his dad (and mum?). What do you reckon to this interp?:

Settle up, we're calling up the pain Stealin' dad? You're single, hide the strain You came, you saw, you sawed her brain You cut out all the parts that held your stain

Still in clad you're billing. Why the blame? She's crying now you're climbing down your claim Sitting up you're counting up your names Seen enough to bend him off the frame

You came, you saw, you sawed her brain You cut out all the parts that held your stain

You clipped, you clawed to no applause You lost the will to bolt the lying gauze

so try to be somebody so try to fee somebody so try to leave somebody so hard/try to be somebody

Workin' and you run
