Save the Day Lyrics
Tied to the tracks and I hear you call,
Your voice is shaking,
The train is coming faster than you thought and theres no escaping it,
And you think that you know how the end of the story goes,
Thats the page I re-wrote and Ive taken away the ropes,
Theres more hope than you'll ever know
Chorus:
So keep breathing, I say that Id always be there,
Now I mean it more than ever before,
Theres a future worth fighting for,
So don't be scared,
I know how you must be feeling,
With no one to help you carry the pain,
I'm coming to save the day
Hands on the clock are standing still,
But your heart is racing,
You're loosing your grip on the window sill,
Going down by the weight of it,
And you pray for belief,
As you lie on the bathroom floor,
As you wait, you can see,
Theres a light underneath it all,
This is the day you've been waiting for
Chorus
Bridge:
Were finally breaking into the daylight,
In the warmth of the sun,
I will stand by your side till your fear passes on,
so just look in my eyes,
And baby try to hold on and you find it wont be long
Chorus

There are few errors in the lyrics... In the chorus, it's "So keep breathing, I said that I'd always be there," and the second verse is "The hands on the clock are standing still, but your heart is racing, You're losing your grip on the window sill, pulled down by the weight of it, And you pray for relief, as you lie on the bathroom floor, As you wait, you can see, there's a light underneath the door, This is the day you've been waiting for." And the bridge, it's "feel the warmth of the sun," and "So just look in my eyes, baby, try to hold on, and you'll find it won't be long..."
For me, this song is about someone who is just losing all hope. Maybe they're really stressed out, depressed, worried, or just too tired to go on. David sees that and is trying to help them through it and Save the Day; convince them that everything will be okay in the end. "There's a future worth fighting for." I really love this song. It gives me hope. =D I remember the first time I heard it, I pictured David in a Super Man cape, flying all over the world saving people. =D LOL. So cute.
