Remind Me (Someone Else's Remix Radio Edit) Lyrics
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me.
It's only been a week,
The rush of being home in rapid fading.
Prevailing to recall
What I was missing, all that time in England
Has sent me aimlessly,
On foot or by the help of transportation,
To knock on windows where
A friend no longer live, I had forgotten.
(chorus)
And everywhere I go,
There's always something to remind me
Of another place and time
Where love that travelled far had found me.
We stayed outside til two,
Waiting for the light to come back,
But hid in talk I knew,
Until you asked what I was thinking.
(chorus)
Brave men tell the truth,
A wise man's tools are analogies and puzzles,
A woman holds her tongue,
Knowing silence will speak for her.
So now I'll never know,
As you will only sleep beside me,
And everywhere I go...
(chorus)x2
It's only been a week,
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
The rush of being home in rapid fading.
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
Prevailing to recall
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
What I was missing all that time in England
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me.)
Has sent me aimlessly
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
On foot or by the help of transportation,
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
To knock on windows where
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
A friend no longer live, I had forgotten.
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me.)
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me.
The rush of being home in rapid fading.
Prevailing to recall
What I was missing, all that time in England
On foot or by the help of transportation,
To knock on windows where
A friend no longer live, I had forgotten.
There's always something to remind me
Of another place and time

Waiting for the light to come back,
But hid in talk I knew,
Until you asked what I was thinking.

Knowing silence will speak for her.
As you will only sleep beside me,
And everywhere I go...
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)

(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
Prevailing to recall
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
What I was missing all that time in England
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me.)
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
On foot or by the help of transportation,

To knock on windows where
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
A friend no longer live, I had forgotten.
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me.)

Sweet tunage...
It is sweet tunage, but more than that too! This song has depth. Not only is it a sweet and sincere song about a former relationship/lover and its pentimenti with elements that cause remembrance, but further more how one feels when one is in a new relationship after the fact- "So now I'll never know,/As YOU will only sleep beside me". The song may not be meant towards the old lover, as many would assume, but towards the new lover, so that they themselves are aware of a very human instinct, that everyone remembers the past. Any other thoughts toward "Remind Me" would be much appreciated to a very much under-appreciated song.
irrelefunt, i like your comments. Ive sometimes taken a different view on it. To me it tells the story of a love that has been lost. Both feel lost behind a wall of puzzles and silence. Both want to speak their minds but they wait for each other only to find the same old. They keep reaching for a distant emotion that they both once and perhaps still do feel. They haven't given up, they are just still hoping to find that spark. Its not a gloomy outlook, just a period of time where they are both feeling that need for each other but it will take a bit more to find it.
i think the line is "failing to recall, what i was missing all that time in england" not "prevailing"
i found another way to look at this song. i live with my boyfriend in the uk where i study and i dont get to see my family and old school friends until i go back home for the holidays. this summer i was really looking forward to going back and seeing everyone, but once i arrived i realized i missed living with my boyfriend and going home to him, and even though i was really excited to see everyone and having a good time, i still felt a bit lost knowing he was half a world away... i was missing being back home, but when i got back i was always reminded of how nice it was before.
haha i dont think im explaining this very well, but that's the way i see it. the "brave men tell the truth" verse even related to me trying to explain to my boyfriend without seeing him face to face and the miscommunication (if that is a word) and the frustration because sometimes i can just be silent and he'll understand, but that's not how it works on msn is it.
lovely lovely song
