Clarkson wrote this song with Joakim Ã…hlund of the Swedish alternative rock band The Caesars ("Jerk It Out"). In publicity materials, Clarkson commented on the song's surprising theme. "First, it's not a boy-bashing song, so that's already different for me. Plus, I wrote it, so that makes it even weirder!"
