I know it's straightforward, but some lyrics can be a bit hard to pinpoint the meaning with words so here's what I think..
"Feeling the past moving in letting a new day begin"
This is about keeping on going towards the (hopefully) brighter future, even though a dark past is creeping up on you. You ignore the past and keep going forward.
"Hold to the time that you know you don't have to move on to let go"
Perhaps it means holding onto happy memories of a happier time. Perhaps a relationship full of nice memories. You don't have to move on from the happy memories in order to let go of the pain of the breakup (or w/e).
"Add to the memory you keep remember when you fall asleep"
Keep the happy memories, and make new memories as well to add to your "happy collection."
"hold to the love that you know you don't have to give up to let go"
Just because of one failed relationship, you don't have to give up on love completely in order to let go of that one bad experience.

I'm not sure about this part. Maybe.. The night represents sadness, and the morning light represents happiness. Ignoring the sadness and moving on into being happy again. Similar to the first part of the song.

The person is speaking to themselves reminding them of how someone pulled them through a bad experience. Maybe a friend or love interest helped them after they were heartbroken and reminded them that good guys/girls still exist.
"I remember." This small phrase packs the meaning of every other verse into a small, powerful phrase. It's not just saying "I remember" as in "I remember when such and such happened.." It signifies the person remembering to stay hopeful, remember to let go and move into the light (happiness) and to not allow one crap situation ruin their outlook on all other things.

OK the reason I came here was to see if anyone had any thoughts on the only metaphorical-sounding part of the lyrics: "Remeber turning on the night // and moving through the morning light" - thoughts anyone?
At first I just thought it was a kind of catchy flip-round of the phrases 'turning on the light' and 'moving through the night' that didn't really have any concrete meaning but just sounded cool, well anyway that was on first hearing the song a while ago - HOWEVER, I kid you not; over the past two weeks I listened to this song pretty much every day before I went to bed - while I was incarcerated in a motherfucking psychiatric ward - and yeah now after that experience I sort of feel that there's a lot more to the song than just being "catchy" ;-)

Love this song! Saw deadmau5 play it twice this year, and it rocked. About a relationship that is over but both or one of them still "remembers" how strong their love was when they were together. this song gives me the chills

You won't find many songs with only comments about the meaning, you'll have to get used to that. IMO it's fine for people to say they like the song, although I would prefer a little example of what they like, otherwise there isn't anything to know other than someone is a fan.
