With a lot of Deadmau5 tunes, there are no lyics, so meaning it tough to discern.

As for this song, the begining to is slow, peaceful, and somber. I can't help but feel that he was writing this for Meowingtons. Of course, it progresses, and builds up to a huge eargasmic finish! Got to love that feel good beat.

This is one amazingly beautiful track, my absolute favourite out of every song I've ever listened to (:

It was originally only the first 3.5 minutes and was called "Then We Stood Still", before deadmau5 developed it into Strobe. So he didn't write the whole thing at once - hope that helps with your interpretations.

the song starts off kind of slow and then accelerates into party music, for one thing. There are three things I came up with: 1: It may mean about someone who has never really been appreciated(maybe Joel himself)and then become something big. 2: It could be kind of a lost in a nirvanic jungle(example peaceful music playing while eerie jungle music is in the background)and then he starts finding a way out and then escapes. 3: Joel could have just mad it for our entertainment and we shouldn't worry about it.

Strobe is one of those songs that hits the sweet spot for me between relax music and go out and dance your ass off music.

The song pulls you in as it builds. I'm immediately hooked and listening for more.

I'm still on the fence with Deadmau5. I need to listen to more of his stuff--some tracks I like, others I don't. Maybe they need another spin.

Strobe is a song for those who are secretly very depressed about any event in their life. The song starts with a very sad voice that says what am I going to do about my problems than progresses. It takes you into a ship taking off into a world where the problems that you once had do not exist any more. After that, the song reassures the listener with an on going montra, "now I am alive, now I am alive" this is just how I interpret the song. The song takes the listener from depressed to very much feeling alive and well, a human being again if you will. Furthermore, the song transcends anything heard in this world because it has been massaged to perfection by mr. DeadMau5 into a visual master piece that takes the listener from a listener to a viewer and begs for repeats listens in order to understand the complete nature of the song.

strobe sucks. go listen to real music like faxing berlin (piano version) that has more meaning in it than this nonsense. though due to the surging popularity of this song, im most likely to get rated down for the comment im about to post now.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
