Is it that she regrets breaking up with him? Is it that he's changed since they've been apart, or that she's just missing him now they're apart and is having trouble with that after-break up separation?
Just because you intiated the break up doesnt mean you didnt rely on the person just as heavily, just means you needed to do what was right.

i get kind of a masochistic feeling from this song -- they broke up and it wasn't amicable at all, and they're still in that bitching-at-each-other phase and she actually finds out she likes that side of him. maybe their relationship was too mellow for her or something, but she's finding out that since they broke up, she loves him again.

it's kind of a self-ruining cycle, because if they got back together, she'd probably get bored of him again and they'd break up again until it possibly culminated in another reunion. this song is remarkably different from anything kelly's done before and it's really awesome.
