i think this song is about when you make someone out into something they're not, and it gets to their head and they take it wayyy over-board and start totally transforming into a "monster"
like most (metalcore, hardcore, grundgecore), whatever you want to call it I believe its the result of a breakup. What relationships have come to today. Someone did him serious emotional harm. Nearly every style of music has embraced the concept and, just like people, express it differently. You have your emo, "oh woose me, pitty me". drawing attention to yourself and all. Like i said, different people express it differently. I believe, in most cases, this is anger expressed towards the one once loved.

this song is definitely not about a break up. its about more what spacitydrummer4JC that when someone gives in to worldly pleasures and temptations they lose themselves and become a monster. watch the music video. its about a band who wants to become metal and sees an advertisement for girls and money and all they have to do is record an album. then one of their members becomes a monster... cuz he got girls and money, things that only satisfy the flesh

This song is obviously about people who change in order to pursue something (often material or vain, like success, girlz, etc.) and sellout their values, morals and personality.
It's about people who change ("cannot recogize your face anymore") who they are because of those things and become vain persons without the morals and/or limits which they once had, thus becoming a "monster".
The lyricist asks if it was worthy, if it tastes good now that they have changed. So, giving up who you were was worth the benefits? Are you so great now? Are those things you wanted so bad that good as you thought? The question echoes unanswered (most probably not - and if it was worth it, then that is exactly what you really are, and those morals never belonged to you anyway, but if you were a truly "good" person you'll certainly go back to who you once were, probably through salvation, which is a light that can guide you to your real self again and connect you with God).
I's about giving in to ambition and vanity, which then later can reveal a mistake or just reveal to yourself who you are, or who you've become.
when I first got the lyrics I was very impressed with them. Andy is a real good lyricist, his lyrics are very deep and also aestethically perfect in the songs, as well as very well sung.
