Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
This song was excellent live! Saw it twice. The video they had on the screen was of some rolling kansas fields on a dead wasteland, all of the ghosts material was great and very touching when performed. And for those of you fucks that think it's not as good because it has no vocals you outta shoot yourselves, because trent is the ONLY musician of his statute that has it all and had enough balls to release a 2-disc instrumental album when he is known for his catchy lyrics and I will forever respect him for that because deep down he is a composer of music..
I agree as much as i possibly could. The fact that Trent can pull off an all instrumental album, have a quarter of it for free, and have it in as amazing of quality as it is in. This album goes really deep. No, it's not your popular radio music, but that's exactly what Trent wants. He makes music because he likes to make music, not for money or fame. Trent is a true artist and musical genius.

The song makes me think of an atomic bombing. Whenever I hear that droning sound that kicks in, I think of a siren. Like all hope is lost, and we're all going to be dust in a minute.
I love the piano so much. It's a great track to put on when I'm trying to sleep.
This song makes me think of waking up in a cold stone chamber, eyes adjusting to the lack of light and the white stone walls, trying to raise yourself from the ground but it's too cold..... suddenly a blurred yellow light appears far down the corridor, endorpins rush to you and you realise it's moving toward you.... it's someone in a hood carrying a candle, they seem confused of why youre there and they turn away, pulling down a curtain and the dark resumes.....
Yeah it is kinda dumb. What did you guys think of ghosts though? A little too ambient for me. This song is like atmospheric music, it's slow and calming but nin's style. I like the humming in the background.
It's good music to fall asleep to I must say, and doing school work to.
And there are some really good ones in amongst them all that stand out a lot.
But overall the lack of vocals kinda bothered me, I'm so used to it in NIN's work. D:
To me it's a very reflective song. It instantly quiets all the noise in my brain and stills my thoughts and slows my heart rate and I enter this sort of "zoning out" state of mind where I can feel at home inside myself. Very meditative, it's like a 3 minute epiphany. And Ghosts is definitely among my favorite NIN albums period. I don't always feel like sitting down and listening to Ghosts like I do The Downward Spiral or something, but when I do I am never disappointed. And that has more to do with the pace of life being to fast. Ghosts is something you experience with headphones laying on your back in bed or drifting aimlessly in a boat looking up at the sky on a warm day on a quiet lake. It requires time and the proper environment to truly experience it. It is really good background noise as well while your busy with other tasks homework/falling asleep as previously stated too, but I like to focus on the music and let it take me where it wants to go. The flow to the album(s) is incredible.

13 and 28 are my personal favorites, overall it's a good cd, but ya lyrics would have been nice.
I like 31. It sounds like part of "Just Like You Imagined"

I'm actually glad someone put up the songs on Ghosts on here.
this one, though, doesn't really inspire much thought to me. it sounds, in terms of excitement, like the opening credits to a relatively sedate movie.
yeah but what is this song about? someone explain the lyrics to me.
