I mean, you can't force someone to purely love you.
If he still doesn't love you yet, well, he probably never will. No point in trying to get him to love you.

I must say that this song is a real grower and so relevant to me right now. I love this person and there is this small chance that they may love me, but there is also that inevitable withdrawal, too. My favorite line is: "And I, I gotta see, that you and me, ain't meant to be", my friends are like "Just give it up, they don't want you, etc." but I'm like, "I just can't give up like that..."

I am not normally a fan of Ciara, but the first time I heard this song, it hit me hard. The lyrics and meanings are more than relateable to what I have going on in my life right now. Even hearing this song as I type this makes me think more and more about my situation. Also, I must say, even as a female myself, Ciara looks absolutely amazing in this video. I never paid much attention to how beautiful she really is.
I really love this song i mean it reminds me of an old relationship i was in and the way ciara cries in the video it shows a hole lot of emotion in it.......... i cried like an idiot when i heard this song and its my favorite now! i always listen 2 dis song day and night and i should just realize that my ex will never love me like i do so i gotta stop.

I mean if he dont love me by now i guess he never will but its amaizing so i can relate to it. the way she cries in the video is so heart breaking.
i think evrybody has once been in a situation like this when i first herd this song it hit me so hard i couldent lsitin to the whole song but it came on the radio, and well, it reely does make sence as much as you love someone, if they dont love you back whats the point in still loving them? im not a fan of ciara and this song hasent changed my veiws on her at all ( i probebly like her evan less because this song made me relise its time to let go )
I have this song in my computer since a while ago and I never paid much attention to it, I was looking for a song today and by chance I saw this one and I thought, 'what's this song? ooh yeah the one that says if that boy dont love you by now he will never ever love you.. omg wait a second I feel so related to that line' lol so I listened to it and I related to each and every line!! this song is amazing, but I don't think I'm ready to let him go and give up right now.. but then I think well if he doesn't want me yet I guess he never will, like why would he suddenly TRULY want to? I'll try again though, I'm sure I'll feel it when it finally is the moment to give up on him

Its like when u kiss someone for the first time u know straight off if u feel something and if its one of those very rare connections u try make it work and if that person didn't feel the same way u did when it happened then u wont be able to change it. It is those people who u will remember forever no matter how much u try to forget them u simple can't there with u for the rest of ur life. I was broken hearted when i found out the guy i liked didnt like me in the same way i liked him, he always said he liked me but he could never explain how he liked me. this song really hits u if u are in a bad place (in a relationship)when u first hear it. its impossible to get over the people that dont return ur love.
Wow, this is a really late post but I came across this song since it's so relevant to me. The lyrics are pretty straight forward, there isn't much more to explain. You can't make someone love you, and you eventually have to get to the stage where you just let go of the person even if it hurts.
