C-I-A-R-A
Pull up your pants (just like 'em)
Take out the trash (just like 'em)
Gettin' your cash like 'em
Fast like 'em
Girl, you wanna act like he did (I'm talkin' 'bout)
Security codes on everything
On vibrate so your phone don't ever ring (never ring)
Joint account and another one he don't know about (hey)

Wish we could switch up the roles and I could be that
Tell you I love you, but when you call, I never get back (oh)
Would you ask them questions like me, like where you be at?
'Cause I'm out, four in the morning on the corner, rolling, doing my own thing

What if I, had a thing on the side
Made you cry?
Would the rules change up or would they still apply?
If I played you like a toy
Sometimes I wish I could act like a boy

Can't be getting mad what, you mad?
Can't handle that

Can't be getting mad what, you mad?
Can't handle that

Girl, go ahead and be (just like 'em)
Go run the streets (just like 'em)
Go home, missin' sleep like 'em, creep like 'em
Front wit' your friends
Act hard when you wit' 'em, like 'em
Keep a straight face when you tell a lie
Always keep an airtight alibi
Keep it hid in the dark
What he don't know won't break his heart (hey)

Wish we could switch up the roles and I could be that
Tell you I love you, but when you call, I never get back
Would you ask them questions like me, like where you be at?
'Cause I'm out, four in the morning on the corner, rolling, doing my own thing

What if I, had a thing on the side (what if I)
Made you cry? (made you cry)
Would the rules change up or would they still apply?
If I played you like a toy
Sometimes I wish I could act like a boy

Can't be getting mad what, you mad?
Can't handle that

Can't be getting mad what, you mad?
Can't handle that

Can't be getting mad what, you mad?
Can't handle that

Can't be getting mad what, you mad?
Can't handle that

If I was always gone
Let the sun beat me home (would you like that?)
Told you I was with my crew when I knew it wasn't true if I act like you (would you like that?)
Walked a mile up in your shoes (would you like that?)
Messing with your head again
Dose of your own medicine

What if I, had a thing on the side (what if I)
Made you cry? (made you cry)
Would the rules change up or would they still apply?
If I played you like a toy
Sometimes I wish I could act like a boy

Can't be getting mad what, you mad?
Can't handle that

Can't be getting mad what, you mad?
Can't handle that

Can't be getting mad what, you mad?
Can't handle that

Can't be getting mad what, you mad?
Can't handle that

R-A, go, here's the clutch

If I paged you (would you like that?)
Had friends (would you like that?)
Never call (would you like that?)
No, no, you wouldn't like that, no

What if I, made you cry? Would they still apply?
What if I, if I played you like a toy
Sometimes I wish I did act like a boy

(Can't handle that)

I agree with corsaiir, I've never dated a thug ether. Personally I hate guys who act like thugs, it's kind of obnoxious. However I do think that this poem doesnt represet all guys, cause some are generally nice.

So relax guys who take this song offensively, every girl knows in her heart that there is a good guy out there. And if you take this song so offensively maybe it's because you've been guilty of one or two of these things to begin with.

Also I do agree that girls do cause problems to and can act like this as well. However the reason there are more songs about it from a girls perspective than a guys is because girls can express themselves that way. When guys get this from girls theyre more likely to just get mad and break it off. A girl is more emotional and can put more into a song like this.

    Just my opinion

This song is the best of the year. I absolutely agree with Ciara. I wish that I could be the boyfriend and not call and have my own thing. I wish that I wasn't the only one gettin my heart stomped on. Maybe if we could switch roles, guys would realize what they do to us & maybe they would think twice before acting like a douche.

I love this song! It shows what a girl goes through in a relationship, how it's "okay" for a guy to treat a girl like shit, but now she's giving him his own medicine.

This song reminds me of "Can't Hold Us Down" by Christina Aguilera. You know? Explaining the double standard.

    -linds "why you getting mad?"

This is a good song and I like it, but it kind of makes it seem like guys are the only ones who do this stuff. News flash guys, we girls are just as bad, if not worse and you don't hear any songs playing on the radio where a guy is singing about how badly his girlfriend treats him. They don't make their problems public and whine about them, they deal with them. And while I understand the whole double standards thing, that's not entirely what this song is about. Ciara is complaining about her situation with her guy, not about how women are treated by society. If you want to have a feminist fest, go listen to Christina Aguilera.

ironic that the song is called like a boy after all the rumors of her being a hermaphrodite hahahaa

anyway song's about girls switching roles with guys on how they treat their significant other.

The beat and lyrics are sick. I don't much care for Ciara.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
