An Awful Lot Of Running Lyrics
He is like fire, burning through time
As old as forever, but fast in his prime
saw his blue spaceship materialize
He looked out and said to me “run for your life!”
I don’t know why I never thought to ask for his name
But I really don’t think he’d have told me the truth anyway
But that’s ok
It’s completely terrifying but it’s so so exciting
He said I was brilliant and I could change the world
So many places I’ve been; there’s so much more to see
We’ve got galaxies and planets and moons
And an awful lot of running to do
As a full-time companion he gave me a key
And a phone with a signal in every galaxy
As we fell through the vortex I felt so free
Please don’t let this danger just be another dream
Cos my life before you was unreasonably mundane
I’ve never been happier although we face death every day
I wouldn’t have it any other way
It’s completely terrifying but it’s so so exciting
He said I was brilliant and I could change the world
So many places I’ve been; there’s so much more to see
We’ve got galaxies and planets and moons
And an awful lot of running to do
And you know you can fix that chameleon circuit if you try hot-wiring the
fragment links and superseding the binary/binary/binary/binary/binary/binary
It’s completely terrifying but it’s so so exciting
He said I was brilliant and I could change the world
So many places I’ve been; there’s so much more to see
We’ve got galaxies and planets and moons
And an awful lot of running to do

the song is obviously from the point of view of Donna Noble, when she was half time lord
anyone else remember the shock when she said "And you know you can fix that chameleon circuit if you try hot-wiring the fragment links and superseding the binary/binary/binary/binary/binary/binary "
I KNOW I WAS LIKE WOOAAHAHH
anyway, the song is brilliant
The song is just amazing, but the "binary/binary/binary/binary/binary/binary" loop makes me sad because I think of Donna and how things (afaik, I'm only up to the end of the 5th series) ended with her...

Although there is the binary part, it doesn't mean the song was from the point of view of Donna. I see it as a song about Alex's (or our) own adventure with the Doctor, but that's just me. However, I do love that binary bit. Yay for knowing it off by heart :D

I always think of this song as a Rose song.
my favourite song from the album. I LOVEEE it (:
just saw this on youtube. thought it was dead good. dr who rocks !
Sounds like this song is about being in love with Dr. Who. Awesome =]
I love that the part "And awful lot of running to do" is sung in the theme music from Doctor Who! Really brilliant! I love this song. And I LOVE DOCTOR WHO! <33333333333333 =DDD
It's such a shame the tenth Doctor has regenerated :( I loved him.
it's actually based on the serial survival from 1989
Really? I always think of Donna when I hear it, because of the "And you know you can fix that chameleon circuit if you try hot-wiring the fragment links and superseding the binary/binary/binary/binary/binary/binary" bit. I always feel a little sad after hearing this song, because of Donna's mind-wipe ;-; She went back to thinking she wasn't special.
