I Caught Myself

Why does every single song have to be compared to the Twilight series? She wrote Decode for it, but that doesn't mean every other song has something to do with it. I mean, really..

I know exactly what this song is about, because I've going through it right now with my ex. I'm in love with my current boyfriend, but for a while, I had this infatuation thing with my ex. "You got it, you got it. Some kind of magic - hypnotic, hypnotic. You're leaving me breathless. I hate this, I hate this. You're not the one I believe in, with God as my witness." I felt like I wanted my ex, but when I got him and he told me he was still in love with me, I suddenly didn't want it anymore. I realized all I wanted was my current boyfriend.

It's about wanting what you can't have, or desiring something that you shouldn't. You know you have no future with this person, but lust or infatuation or old memories keep you hanging on. It can also be seen as a friend wanting another friend as more than a friend. "I had to stop myself from saying something that I should have never thought of you, of you.."

thats what the song is about and i can totally relate

it seems like everytime i finally get a good thing going, i turn away and chase after the thing thats the worst for me or the guy that really is the worst influence on me.

for me the song is like you're in a PROCESS OF DENIAL that you are drawn to someone. you kept on telling yourself that you dont believe what you feel inside even though you realize that you feel something for that person because maybe its not right.

my question is, if this is by Paramore, why did they they put the artist name as twilight? even though it was in the movie. its their song..and it wasn't originally written for twilight...

EVERYONE who believes this song was written for, or about, the characters in Twilight are stupid. You shouldn't even be allowed to listen to a band as great as Paramore.

This song describes my life. It's in better words then I can say myself. I was in love with someone for 14 months, we're bestfriends. I'm over him now which makes him easier to talk about but even now, I still have feelings for him. I'm not sure if they will ever go away. 'You got it, you got it Some kind of magic Hypnotic, hypnotic You're leaving me breathless I hate this, I hate this' I always felt that there was something pulling me towards him, it was like he was gravity and everything I did evolved around him. And I hated it. I was being drawn to him but I wasn't sure if it was really what I wanted. At times I thought I wanted him more than anything and other times, I didn't even want to speak to him. In the end, I realised it wasn't him I wanted. I'd wanted him for so long and one day I realised I didn't need him. It was the greatest feeling in the world. Now everytime I listen to this song, it reminds me of the day I realised that I didn't need him. Yes this song was in twilight but it doesn't mean non twilight fans can't listen to it, paramore are an amazing band and more people should listen to them! :) <3

I could see it as Bella to Jacob. Or maybe Edward to Bella, in the beginning, like, he's in denial about it or something...hmmm. Or maybe Edwards inner conflict about what to do about Bella. Like in Midnight Sun, when he wanted to kill the chem class, or whatever, he had to say 'I don't want to be a monster', so, maybe.

I'm fairly sure that this song, too, was written for Twilight. I can't remember where I read it, but hey, it sort of fits. God, I'm such a fangirl. /shame.

I see this as Bella about Jacob, but it's in the wrong era, as far as the movies go. It's a New Moon feeling, or Eclipse, even, when she's tearing herself apart between that soul-deep affinity she holds with Edward, and the comfortable and unfounded love she feels for Jacob.

/shrug.

So yes, i'm pretty sure this song was made to go along with Twilight i remember watching an interview w/ Hailey saying they really wanted to be involved in the movie. But even if you didn't read what ever you can find on the internet, you can tell by his face and mood swings in the movie that he is frustrated, it seems like it's w/ Bella but he's really only frustrated w/ himself. But i do think this song would be grea w/ new moon :D. Ha i'm so borrred.

This song was written for Twilight too! Jeez, haven't you realized that this isn't on any other album but Twilight? Duh!
