Frank, AB Lyrics
My Love I will hold on to your touch
Until there's nothing left of us
.... save you from this life
And the cold depths of the rocky clutch
Won't take away our love
.... save you from this life
and I'll hold ..... I'll hold on to your touch
'til there's nothing left of us
.... save you from this life
I'll hold ..... I'll hold on to your touch
'til they find the bones of us
.... save you from this life
And under the rubble of the mountain that tumbled
I'll hold you forever
I'll hold you forever
And under the rubble of the mountain that tumbled
I'll hold you forever
I'll hold you forever
They'll build up another on the bodies of our brothers
I'll love you forever
Until there's nothing left of us
.... save you from this life
Won't take away our love
.... save you from this life
'til there's nothing left of us
.... save you from this life
'til they find the bones of us
.... save you from this life
I'll hold you forever
I'll hold you forever
I'll hold you forever
I'll hold you forever
I'll love you forever

It's about the Frank, Alberta rockslide that buried a town when it imploded on itself from over-mining. Google it.
The end of this song is gorgeous.
It really is.
It really is.
Could it be "save you from this slide"? It would make more sense.
Saw them at Sled 2009, stole the show.
Some of the lyrics up there are wrong, but I'm pretty sure that "save you from this life" is right. Then, if you consider this being about the slide and the rest of the lyrics, the song seems more like a "I love you so much that I'd follow you into death" kind of song. "Save you from this slide" doesn't really fit contextually in that case. Still, "save you from this life" doesn't make much sense unless Frank, Alberta in 1903 (the year of the landslide) was a place you'd want saving from......

Anyways, it's simply a gorgeous song! Favorite from Hometowns!
the lyrics and his vocals just remind me so much of colin meloy

The vocals are so emotive and melancholic that there's this force that is capable of taking you somewhere else if you let it. It's sad to think that the people who got caught in the rubble only died because of how they were conditioned to act towards their surroundings. Through telling this tragic tale of the landslide the song actually tells a much deeper story that is extremely relevant to what the whole world is constantly going through. Such a beautiful song.
