a decent song-
this song is rather refreshing. the beat, the lyrics, his tone- its almost pure perfection.
he actually wrote this song about me. It was the night after i went to his concert and he saw me in the crowd on the front row. he. touched. my hand. ;)

I think I like this song best on his not-so-good album...
Anyway, I'm sure this song is about a girl that he saw in the front row of any concert he was giving during Idol or something. He thought she was beautiful and felt like he was singing only for her and there was no one else in the audience. He wanted to stop singing and just talk to her but he knew she was only there to hear the music (since it WAS a concert...) and so he had to keep singing so she would stay, and the best he could do to be near her was to reach out his hand so she, along with a bunch of other fans, could touch it. Probably not about a girl in particular, just any number of girls he thought were pretty while he was on Idol.

his album wasnt so great at all, but this one really caught my attention. its really good :))
its a really smart song because it makes every girl in the audience feel like he is talking to her! also, people always wonder whether or not the stars notice them when they go to a concert.. i guess they do!

Argh, that's so true, and I HATE it! I saw him perform yesterday and I SWEAR he pointed right at me when he sang "But the one shining out so bright is the one right where you are". He also waved at me. Twice. Even though I was sitting 19 rows back. But then again, I was taller than most of the people there, it was light outside, I was over-dressed for the occasion, and I was wearing thick black wrist band/glove things, so I was kind of easy to notice.

Not a bad song, heavily rips Coldplay in the chorus, but it's pretty good. :)
