This song IS about Joe Jonas, and I don't think it's right for Jonas Brothers fans to think badly of Taylor Swift because she vented her feelings into a song when HE messed up. Maybe something did happen, or they're just not meant to be together, but if so, it was just wrong of him to break up over the phone. I know its hard to break up with someone, but he should have had the courtesy to end their relationship in person. For the people who think it was immature of her to write a song about this, try to remember how it feels when someone does this to you! It's hurtful and the feeling doesn't just go away. She could have done very unclassy things like calling him names, accusing him of awful things, and even using his name or a picture, but she didn't. Taylor writes songs to get her feelings out and clear her mind like some people write poetry or stories. This, in my opinion, is a great song. Alot of people can relate to it and you can tell it was a very emotional song for Taylor. Good job. :)

This is definately my favorite Taylor Swift song of all time. To me I think she's trying to say that she met this guy and it was love at first sight, he saud he was gonna be with her "forever and always" but then they started kind of drifting apart from each other and he doesn't call her back anymore, and it's breaking her heart beacuse obviously she still has feelings for him.

hopelesslyamazing, any guy who does that is not worth your time. Friends don't fight over the same guy. Whether you are at fault, she is, or both of you, a friendship isn't about competing for a guy. Guys are never worth a frienship, but if you are both willing to risk it all for a guy, then you guys really aren't that great of friends anyways. I don't think you love him. I don't know you, so I could be wrong, but I think Taylor Swift's song, Fifteen might fit you pretty well right now. Love isn't selfish, and Jake seems to be acting selfishly. What you should do is forget about him. Feel your feelings for a little bit, and then get up and do something to prove to yourself how wonderful you are. Forgive your "friend" and find some new ones who won't hurt you.
I think it's just about how when a relationship is fading, and you can feel the breakup coming. You want to be in denial about it, but it cuts you to the core.

well i think joe and taylor were both wrong in what they did. joe was wrong for writing "much better" and saying pretty much that she wasnt a good girlfriend. but taylor was wrong to be all like "yeah i when im in love when im older im never going to remember the guy who broke up with me on the phone in 27 seconds." it wasnt right for him to break up with her like that but he was in asia or something and it wasnt right for her to PUBLICLY diss him like she did. i love them both but i thought that was a STUPID BREAKUP!!!

honestly, who cares who the song is about? i don't care if it's about joe jonas or santa claus, it's a legit song that is really relatable, at least to a lot of girls. it's just about some guy (yes, specifically joe jonas) who told her he really lvoed her and then decided he didn't anymore but she still does and can't figure out what changed his mind. i love this song though.
but on topic of the other posts, in my opinion, both parties are in the wrong. it was wrong of him to break up over the phone, that's cowardly. he could have waited until they could be face to face. i would probably hang up on the jerk too (oh, wait i did! by the way, 27 seconds beats my record of 43). but she's being childish about it. as a person in the public eye who dated another celebrity, i expected her to react with more class, not be all salty about it on tv and in magazines.
