I absolutely love this song. It's kind of provocative.

Now I hate to be the one who over thinks it but my inner feminist came up with some crap as I was listening to it - I think mainly because I am not used to hearing even any indications of sexism in Lykke Li's songs it seemed out of place to me. To me this song could be a critique of society's ideal woman. The perfect “slut”. Or it could be about a real woman who is the “perfect slut” described below. The song begins with porno-like sounds suggesting the song is a statement about attitudes to women's role in sex/porn. The opening line “Bind my arms and Make me mad do it to me now,” initially sounds ridiculous why would anyone want to be made insane (to be given complexes through ill treatment) and why would anyone want to be “bound”; entrapped, encircled, become helpless. This suggests to me it could perhaps be sarcasm — highlighting the ridiculousness of situations men fantasise about. Or it could be about a woman who is self-loathing and masochistic and actually craves these things, a statement about how this is seen as normal. Alternatively the “make me mad” could be about drugs. The next phrase “Go ahead and take whats yours” displays the woman's (fictional society ideal or real) lack of identity. She defines herself solely as someone else's object, possession. Again the persistent urging throughout the song sounds slightly over the top (suggesting sarcasm to me once again) and giving the woman a pathetic tone. The very robotic way it is song (expressionless and lacking in variance no matter what she is saying) suggests that she doesn't really want this, she is just submitting — doing what the man says, being the ideal woman. God knows why, maybe has been “made mad” before. Once again the phrase “Do it to me now,” is repeated, suggesting that the woman wants to either get it over with or she really does actually want to be treated badly (“bind my arms” “jump on it” - hardly sounds like delicate, tender loving sex to me). The line “Bind my arms and make me laugh” again reinforces the idea that she enjoys being controlled and helpless and is masochist. Once again it is oversell, we know this already, it's repetition as if she is just saying it because it's what the other person incessantly wants to hear. It also sounds slightly ridiculous: laughing and being bound are not likely to go together — even in some kind of male fantasy — it sounds like sarcasm, highlighting her carefree attitude to being hurt, controlled and helpless — the one desired most by pornography and society. Again we get repetition emphasising her submissive nature. “Do it to me now”, “Go ahead and take whats yours”. Society wants women who want to be sex objects. The use of the phrase “I don't mind,” is reassurance that she doesn't mind ill treatment and is submissive. It reassures the person she is with, who may be feeling like a bit of a dick for tying her up and making her mad (sounds like a man in some kind of sexual scenario) that she is okay with that. Again the ludicrousness of the situation makes me think it's a statement. “I don't mind” repetition I don't mind i lost my notion — she lost her notion: Idea, opinion, belief — she no longer thinks; she is a submissive robot. Just the way society wants her: submissive without thought.

Come on and jump on it — to jump on something you kind of tread on it from a great height. To jump on a person is both aggressive but is presented in a playful way. It dulls and muffles the violence in the lyrics just like ridiculously funny scenarios in porn muffle the violence in it. The phrase “Spill your guts on it,” at first makes no sense in the context of the song (which nearly all assume to be about sex). The fact that it is so out of place is possibly an attempt to make you think about it. In a sexual context she is asking her partner to lay all their problems on her, take out all their anger and frustration out on her — possibly to take out anger on her body. Maybe “banging” her around will help with that.

Or it could be just that Lykke Li felt like being submissive that day and wrote a song about how dun it was lol x We'll forgive her, as long as she doesn't sing a song about being a prostitute or something.... xD

get some talk also about prostitute , so this isnt the first of a kind song
