A Little Too Not Over You Lyrics

You never cross my mind at all
It's what I tell myself
What we had has come and gone
You're better off with someone else
It's for the best, I know it is
But I see you sometimes
I try to hide what I feel inside

And I turn around
You're with him now
I just can't figure it out

Tell me why you're so hard to forget
Don't remind me, I'm not over it
Tell me why I can't seem to face the truth
I'm just a little too not over you

Memories supposed to fade
What's wrong with my heart
Shake it off, let it go
Didn't think it'd be this hard
Should be strong, moving on
But I see you sometimes
I try to hide what I feel inside

And I turn around
You're with him now
I just can't figure it out

Tell me why you're so hard to forget
Don't remind me, I'm not over it
Tell me why I can't seem to face the truth
I'm just a little too not over you

Maybe I regret everything I said
No way to take it all back, yeah
Now I'm on my own, how I let you go
I'll never understand
I'll never understand
Yeah, oh no
Oh

Tell me why you're so hard to forget
Don't remind me, I'm not over it
Tell me why I can't seem to face the truth
I'm just a little too not over you

Tell me why you're so hard to forget
Don't remind me, I'm not over it
Tell me why I can't seem to face the truth
And I really don't know what to do
I'm just a little too not over you

I think the meaning of this song is very clear, as sierra said. It's about still being in love with someone that you were previously with, while they have moved on; and regretting some of the things that you said or did that led you to where you are now, without them.

Also, I think the lyrics are actually "What we had is come and gone" rather than "What we had, is coming on."

perfect follow-up to ‘crush’.

I think the meanings pretty obvious.. Its about being really in love/infatuated with someone you were with who’s long over you... but you cant seem to get over him/her “and i turn around, your with him now”

I wish my best friend would dedicate this to me, because he loves this song and I think it could be perfect for him. A few weeks ago he'd told me he had feelings for me. It was sad, because I liked him as well, but I fell for someone else..it's hard to explain, but I.. sigh

I feel you. My best friend liked me and I like him and I didn't let him know and when I finally did he said he moved on and that he likes someone else now and it's terrible, cause I like him and I am not over him and it's so hard and he says he wished he could feel the same way he did before but he can't force it and I hate it!!!!

To me the first line 'it never crossed my mind is what I tell myself' means he didn't see the chance he had. I kept...

i was excatly the same way. only the girl he is goin out with now is one of my best friends. and he is my best friend. so i understand

This song is about someone who regrets breaking up with their significant other. In this case, he realizes that it was a mistake to end the relationship because he still cannot move on, even though she already has.
