I like this song. Although they have changed in a way in their style of music since Carah left, This song kinda reminds me of the old shiny toy guns. This song could mean a lot of different things. Relationship wise through friends or boyfriend/girlfriends. Maybe About Carah. I dunno. Anyone has any good ideas? I miss the old STG. But I'm happy for her new band. As long as they both are happy. = ).
Personally overall this album obviously had different style than the previous, compared to We Are Pilots, although in an interview the rest of the band clearly stated that Sisley was in fact their original choice for the lead singer, so when everyone says "Oh god they suck now that Carah's gone!" is just rediculous. Although personally I liked Her vocals over Sisleys anyway. But they are still nice, and this album has some good songs on it, and I hope they continue to write more great songs. I'm actually not sure what this song means though, haven't thought much on...

I'm actually not sure what this song means though, haven't thought much on it. but just glancing over the lyrics it just seems like a relationship story, someone who hasn't been around or talked to someone, and the other could be depressed about it, and now that theyre talking to them its just a big "Thanks alot, where were you all that time?" type of thing.

I think some of these lyrics are wrong. I haven't seen the official lyrics, but some of this doesn't make sense. When I listen I hear "I haven't spoke to you in a year things I've wanted to say" and "blackened by the debt (or dirt?) that you made to smear my name" and "for deeming me as bad company" and "I beg for days to know why your letting go" and she screams "I'm not letting go!"
I think it makes more since when you try to figure out what it means. The speaker in this song is clearly talking about an old friend/now enemy who tried to stir rumors and lies up about him, but it backfired and now they aren't friends anymore. The "poison in your throat" is the negative words the other person tried to use against him.

Those lyrics dont make sense. Here are corrections:
creeping up with serious thoughts = creeping up with VENOMOUS thoughts.
blackened by the temperature made to spare my name. = blackened by the DIRT THAT YOU MADE to SMEAR my name.
for teaming me as back off of me well i hope you know. =for DEEMING ME AS BAD COMPANY i hope you know.
