Head In My Hands Lyrics

I hate my melodies,
they're all the same,
one by one they're driving me insane,
so give me accidents before in another life
Send me back along my way till I get it right

I hate my melodies,
they're all the same,
And I can't get them out of my, my head
I can't get them out of my, my head (x2)
I can't get them out of my...

I'm losing sight again,
I'm losing taste,
Left to rot again,
I'm out of faith,
So give me something I can love, something that I like,
And bring me open press me out till I've had enough

Here I will stand with my head in my hands,
And I can't get them out of my, my head
I can't get them out of my, my head (x2)
I can't get them out of my...

Say goodbye to me I'm out of here,
Confused biology from ear to ear
And is it day or night in here I can never tell
I'm throwing punches in the dark till I get a hit

I hate my melodies,
they're all the same,
And I can't get them out of my, my head
I can't get them out of my, my head (x3)

I'm here with you,
In my head, I can't lose

Like anything it could definitely be about a relationship (which it probably is), but I relate to this song as being frustrated with all the crap behavioral mind patterns one still holds onto and plays over and over and over. Self karma.

At least, it always seems to come up on my ipod while I'm on the bus going to therapy. lol. "YES. Man. This is -the- therapy song". ;P Wanting to go the easy way out or to be given something new, but all the melodies are all the same (years later). etc.

Hmmmmmmm, the song apparently has a nice vibe (3x over) but no lyrical explanation yet. If you're relying on me to do it for you than you truly have issues:) OK, I'll give it a stab: The song is about being unhappy with a repetitious life; the person is in a rut and wishes to feel something...anything. "Confused biology" may simply mean that s/he's in a state of confusion...her/his life is a mess at the moment. By throwing punches until he gets a hit, he's desperate and will do just about anything to get noticed. In the end, he's willing to settle... to keep his thoughts (for someone else perhaps...or perhaps not) in his head. They are safer there. Again, don't listen to me. I am horrible when it comes to analyzing a song. I'm a redneck girl who loves a song if it has a fast beat:)

Well, I pretty much agree(d) with you before even reading your post. ;) (or rather, posting within the same few minutes!).

"Confused biology from ear to ear" is a great line. Feels like he's talking about his tired brain. heh...

These lyrics aren't entirely right. This is how it should be:

I hate my melodies, they're all the same. One by one they're driving me insane. So give me accidental thought in another light, and send me back along my way 'til I get it right

I hate my melodies, they're all the same, And I can't get them out of my, my head I can't get them out of my, my head (x2) I can't get them out of my...

I'm losing sight again, I'm losing days. Left to rot again, I'm out of phase. So give me something I can harm, something that I like. And print me up and press me out 'til I've had enough

Here I will stand with my head in my hands, And I can't get them out of my, my head I can't get them out of my, my head (x2) I can't get them out of my...

Say goodbye to me I'm out of here, Confused biology from ear to ear And is it day or night in here I can never tell I'm throwing punches in the dark 'til I get a hit

I hate my melodies, they're all the same, And I can't get them out of my, my head I can't get them out of my, my head (x3)

I'm here with you, In my head, I can't lose
