i cant believe no ones posted anything on this song. the beat reminds me of jekyll and hyde the musical. one of the songs sounds like it.
This is definitely my favorite song on the album! O! I love this album! I don't know why people haven't accepted it as well as the other one. The vocals are wonderful, the lyrics are haunting and somewhat ambiguous, and the way it's all tied up with such daring musicality is delicious! I love that they took risks and went in a different direction than on the first album. They've shown so much growth.

I'm not sure what "Just solid water run/ Down my face" means; maybe it's about the slap-in-the-face realization that everything he loved has gone? I don't think it's literally ice on his face. :P

I think of the song as being about a soldier coming back from war, and when he returns everything and everyone has changed. Like Kiteride said, the lyrics are rather ambiguous. I really like that, though. Each person can take the lyrics and interpret them in their own way, based on their own experience, but that doesn't make them wrong at all.

I took it to mean like constant tears creating solid water running down his face. Or to go with alithaven's interpretation, it could mean some kind of.. shield or something blocking him from the world, or masking it because of what he's been through. Idk, that's just my interpretation.
