this song is clearly about craig being put down as the new singer for them. For example the 10 miles wide hole he has can represent that all the negativity towards him is piling so much on him that its getting to him so he has to find a "place to hide" when he says "take my place to look inside" he's saying put yourself in his shoes and you'll see its hard to to be a new singer

Yeah I agree with ImTooDrunk... I think its about how he went through all this shit about fans being split up and along the way he lost who he was and "got a hole that's 10 miles wide" But then he realized hes fucking awesome and no one else can do it like he can "take me on i'm feeling in the mood for something dangerous i've found myself again"
