The song in general is about having a very negative view on the world and because of that many negative things happen to you. It's like people who always think everyone is leaving them always attracting people who then really do leave.
The "starving" parts obviously are about her anorexia.
Hiya, I agree with shanji, that whatever you think/feel will project in life. But I assume that she is talking about her past. her parents got divorced when she was nine years old and she suffered from depression and developed an eating disorder.
